The filet mignon here never disappoints & the mashed potatoes are delicious! The service is good and the ambiance is nice. A good date location. I went on a busy day and learned that even to sit at the bar you need to get on a wait list.
Recommended by a friend for a date night. Waiters were attentive to all our needs. The salmon was amazing and my partner loved the Tuna Tartare. Will definitely go back

First time and it was great! Their martinis with goat cheese olives is AMAZJNG!!!! I find the ribs expensive. They were good. I will return just getting a reservation can be challenging.
Hillstone never disappoints and this visit was no exception. From the service to the food, we really enjoyed our dinner. I got a dirty martini which was delicious. To start, we had the spinach artichoke dip which is a must if you come here. For entrees, we split a few things amongst the table. We got the classic cheeseburger which is always a big hit (although they did change their fries since the last time i had visited which was a bummer). The chicken sandwich that was the perfect level of crispy with a cesar salad that I HIGHLY recommend. The french dip which although I did not try, my friends were ravings about it. And a coconut shrimp sushi roll. For dessert, we had a key lime pie which was light & fluffy - not too sweet which was perfect. Overall, I always recommend Hillstone when you're in the Gables area whether its for a girls night out or a date night.

I finally was able to try Hillstone because I made a reservation. Good luck walking in because you will wait forever. The sushi and the Veggie Burger were both delicious. The Crispy Chicken Sandwich was just fine. The portions are pretty big.
How many of you remember when Hillstone was called Houston's? It's still the same formula. Great ribs, sushi, burgers, steaks and salads. I went with the kale and rotisserie chicken salad this time. It's a peanut thing. I took a pic so you can see all the peanut action. It's essential a peanut coleslaw with kale and rotisserie chicken. The perfect lunch.
Hillstone was such a fun experience! Even on a Tuesday the atmosphere was such a good vibe. The service was truly excellent, which is hard to find these days. We ordered an amazing bottle of wine. The food was amazing. Love the variety of the menu. The Osaka style sushi was so fresh and flavorful. The Hawaiian was tender and cooked perfectly. The cheeseburger was 10/10. And we had to try the famous spinach dip which was perfect! All the portions were a very decent size. A little bit of a splurge for a week night if you decide to go all out but totally worth it for the price. Loved our first visit at Hillstone and will definitely be back!
I went to this location twice in one week (dinner then lunch a couple days later) and let me tell you I cannot wait to come back. Dinner: made a last minute reservation online. Service was impeccable and felt like a very classy vibe (and you almost don't realize its a chain). We went a little too heavy on apps -- salad and spinach and artichoke dip (super thicccc deliciousness). Toasted coconut shrimp roll was dank af. Burger was perfection. Lunch: Came on sunday during the miracle mile carnival (without a reservation around noon) and we were lucky to be seated right away! My dad obviously had to get french dip. Loved it. My mom and I shared rotisserie chicken kale salad (yum yum yum) and the little mo (rachel) sandwich. Also!! The host called me when I left my sunglasses at the table.
